Travel Gadgets You'll Be Glad to Have For Any Trip

What's a trip without some gadgets? Not much of one! Here are some gadgets that just about any traveler would love to have with them on their trip.

Travel Alarm

The handy dandy travel alarm has come a long way. Now, you can have a digital version that automatically sets the time wherever you may be. There are even travel alarms with other fancy features like a digital photo frame, calming nature sounds and MP3 player.

Cell Phone Charger

Most travelers are taking along a cell phone on their trips nowadays. A cell phone charger could certainly come in handy if your battery runs out and you aren't near your hotel, right? There are options for cell phone chargers that using hand crank technology, and an even smaller option that uses 1 AA battery to charge up your cell phone for a full 5 minutes of use. That should be long enough to call the hotel and get directions back to it or to call a taxi.

LED Flashlights

Let's say you are trying to get to the bathroom in your hotel room and you don't want to wake your spouse up, a tiny little flashlight would sure come in handy, wouldn't it? With LED flashlights, you can take one or two or a few of these tiny little flashlights with you. Keep one in your pocket, one in your jacket, another in each suitcase. They may come in handy for a variety of uses. Restaurant too dark? Pull out your LED flashlight! Can't get the key in the door since the light is too dull? Pull out the flashlight! Electricity goes out? Flashlight!

Binoculars

Whether you are on top of the Eiffel Tower, in a Las Vegas hotel room or in the African savannah, a pair of binoculars is sure to come in handy. There are now many small options for binoculars that fold up and fit in your pocket or purse. For an even smaller option, you may consider a monocular.

GPS

One of the most annoying things about going on vacation is getting lost. If you've never been to the area and aren't good at reading a map, then consider taking along a GPS. You'll be surprised at the number of options that you have for a GPS device. You'll find a number of pocket size, easy to use options in GPS, with more coming out every year. There's no excuse to get lost anymore!
